Forgive me, Lucifer, for I have sinned. I had lost faith in Solace, not feeling any connection to the critically acclaimed AD, but with The Brink, Solace have grabbed me by the balls again! Gone are Jason’s outbursts of rage, there is now a catchy rhythm to the vocal delivery from new singer Justin Goins. I like the presence of the organ, it works well. Waste People rips your head off. Personally, I would edit out Dead Sailor’s Dream, and put Shallows Fade and The Brink at the start of the LP.
