Youngstown, Ohio noise rock / sludge metal band Rebreather creates punishing, tenacious, and metallic music that seethes and breathes. The group once called its sound "cave pop" and while its clamorous caterwaul calls for comparison to scene luminaries like Unsane, Melvins, and Flipper, don't assume don’t for one moment that theirs is a sound you’ve heard over and over. On April 2, Rebreather will release the new EP, '"Pets" / "Orange Crush"', as part of Aqualamb Records' COVID Cover Series; the two track tumult featuring the trio's sludged-up and spaced-out takes on Porno for Pyros' hit "Pets" and the REM classic "Orange Crush".

Forgive me, Lucifer, for I have sinned. I had lost faith in Solace, not feeling any connection to the critically acclaimed AD, but with The Brink, Solace have grabbed me by the balls again! Gone are Jason’s outbursts of rage, there is now a catchy rhythm to the vocal delivery from new singer Justin Goins. I like the presence of the organ, it works well. Waste People rips your head off. Personally, I would edit out Dead Sailor’s Dream, and put Shallows Fade and The Brink at the start of the LP. Master of Alchemy
